Dredgers

From suction and air-lift dredgers to booster stations and soil pressure systems, each component is developed with modular construction in mind. This approach ensures exceptional flexibility while keeping user costs down. Whether for large-scale, stationary setups or compact mobile units, our systems can be assembled or disassembled in under 10 working hours.

CSD-D Deep Cutting

CSD Deep Cutting Cutter Suction Dredger

For extreme depths—up to 80 meters—our CSD-D dredgers deliver unmatched performance. When cutting below 22 meters, traditional containerized pontoons can’t handle the increased stress. Our solution? A heavy-duty external cutter ladder supported by widely spaced pontoons to counteract torsional forces.

Cutter Suction Dredger Containerized

CSD Containerized

Our newly developed CSD-C series is engineered for easy international transport. Built using container-sized modules, these dredgers are simple to ship and can be deployed quickly. The modular design also allows for easy upgrades—entire modules can be swapped out to scale up your operation. Although the upfront investment is higher, the significantly lower operational costs make this an economically sound long-term solution.

Air Lift Dredger

Air Lift Dredger

In an air lift dredging system, a compressor on the surface pumps air into a pipe submerged in the water. The compressed air then rises through the pipe, creating a vacuum that sucks sediment from the bottom of the waterway and transports it to the surface through the same pipe. Once the sediment reaches the surface, it is separated from the water and discharged or used for land reclamation. Air dredging allows you to dredge at great depths. Another advantage is that the maximum dredging depth is more or less equal to the diameter of the suction pipe. Jan Bosman has built various airlift dredgers.

Cutter Suction Dredger

Cutter Suction Dredger

Our range of cutter suction dredgers (CSDs) covers a wide spectrum—from the CSD 150 to the CSD 750. While these are our standard models, every dredger is fully customizable to your project’s specific needs. Each vessel is truly made to measure. In addition to diesel-hydraulic systems, we have been building fully electric dredgers since 2002—combining sustainability with efficiency.

Hopper Suction Dredger

Hopper Suction Dredger

Hopper suction dredgers are self-contained vessels equipped with powerful suction pumps that remove sediment from the seabed and store it in an onboard hopper. Ideal for port maintenance, land reclamation, and capital dredging projects, they offer efficient operation with minimal environmental impact. Their ability to transport and discharge dredged material directly makes them a flexible and cost-effective solution for many marine operations.
