The Boskalis Boka E-dredge 1: cutter and profile dredger in one and ready for the future.
After a challenging and versatile sales process, taking into account numerous different specifications and customer requirements, HDD is proud to have completed the Boka E-dredge 1 in-house in just six months, from design to final product.
Sustainable and ready for the future
This impressive sand dredger is designed as a cutter dredger and can also be used as a profile dredger. In cutter mode, the Boka E-dredge 1 achieves a dredging depth of approximately 16 meters, and in standard profile mode, this depth is 23 meters. With an additional set of forebodies, this depth can even be extended to 40 meters. What makes this dredger extra special is that it is fully electrically powered, without any hydraulic components. This makes the Boka E-dredge 1 ready for the future.
